While it may have been forced upon us, that doesn’t mean we can’t enjoy these nights at home.
Hibernating sounds like the perfect tonic after the year we’ve had. A time to slow down, to reflect and contemplate on what’s happened, to restore and repair ourselves, and to dream of a better year ahead. If only we could suspend the demands of life until spring arrives.
Being cosy and content at home is as much about the feeling we get as the products and furnishings that make a
house a home. The Danish call it hygge (pronounced hue-gah). Scandi-inspired homewares are a great way to add comfort into your home this winter. Keep things simple; think warm neutrals like beige, plaster and cream. Add a mix of textures with natural linens, chunky knits and a hint of faux fur for the tactile cosy experience. Blankets, cushions and rugs are great for snuggling.
