UK below-the-hook experts, Modulift, open new production plant.

Modulift, the leading UK-based lifting and engineering services company, moved into a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in their hometown of Poole, Dorset in July 2019.


Te new, fully operational facility significantly expands Modulift’s production capacity, providing them the space needed to continue pushing innovation in the market—a promising sign for a company that has been in the global lifting industry for 20 years. Modulift prides themselves on being the world’s premier suppliers of spreader beams, lifting beams, and other below- the-hook lifting equipment. Te versatility of their range of


lifting products means they can offer a complete lifting and engineering service to a wide variety of sectors, including construction, oil and gas, power generation, and utilities. Te new 40,000-square-foot site, with 20,000 square feet of production capacity, will be key to their ability to cement their current status as industry leaders. “With enhanced manufacturing capability,


somewhere in the region of triple the size of our previous site, we will be able to receive an order and deliver, say, a six-hundred-ton-plus capacity design engineered below-the-hook solution within four weeks,” explained Managing Director Sarah Spivey. “Tat’s unprecedented and thusly unrivalled in our field.” Tis impressive increase in production capacity is one of the primary purposes of the Dorset plant— driven by a rise in demand across the globe and clients requesting faster delivery. “We have diversified across industries and across all countries as a global brand with our global distribution network,” added Spivey, “so being able to deliver our products to them faster, as we have to ship them across the sea, was one of the key factors to this.”


Te manufacturing facility is built around an engineering core that, coupled with greater storage and production space, will boost Modulift’s pace of production while cutting down lead times. Te
