WRE: What do you see as Te Crosby Group’s greatest strengths, and how are you working to leverage them?


RD: From Engineering to Manufacturing, Logistics, Field Sales and Technical Support, we’ve got the best team in the industry and continuing to build and develop that team is always my number one priority. It is the most talented, dedicated and passionate group of individuals I’ve ever met. With end users that name their children after your company or have tattoos of your products on their arm, you can’t help but be passionate if you work at Te Crosby Group. I am privileged to work with them every day. I mentioned that we have nine stocking locations


around the world, and getting better at how we leverage those, what products to stock where and when, and better collaboration with our dedicated channel partners is a key area of focus. We’ve also got the best, most dedicated channel partners in the industry. Te Crosby Group’s distributors are a key part of our value proposition to end users and we will continue to invest and develop in those that are fully committed to Te Crosby Group’s brands.


WRE: Finally, are there any challenges or issues facing the industry that you’d like to highlight or build more awareness around?


RD: Tere are some challenges that many industrial- oriented businesses face such as an aging workforce, but there’s one area we are very passionate about at Te Crosby Group and it is directly related to the safety of our end-users. And that is supply chain and manufacturing transparency. Lifting, Rigging and Securement hardware is too critical to life and load for the end-users and distributors not to know exactly where it comes from. Te Crosby Group is highly vertically-integrated; we manufacture over 90% of the products we sell. If it’s got our name on it, we made it – and if we didn’t, we let you know.

Crosby also provides mill-specific certificates – meaning you can see exactly where the steel that we used came from, right down to the address of the mill. Standards compliance is one thing, but when we’re talking about lifting large objects overhead or securing them for transport on our highways, we owe it to our customers to set a higher standard. We’re encouraging customers to ask who makes a product, where they make it, and where the steel comes from. Customers need to be more focused on who’s really standing behind their rigging. y
