MARTIN TURNER EX WISHBONE ASH


Sat 22 March 19.30 Following two sell out performances at the Flavel in recent times we are delighted to welcome back founder member and lead vocalist of Wishbone Ash, Martin Turner, and his band. Regarded by critics and fans as one of the most enduring of British Rock bands, Wishbone Ash, forged a unique musical identity through their seminal albums and astonishing live shows. The 2020 tour will feature in its entirety the 1971 iconic album, Pilgrimage, as well as highlights from their extensive back catalogue. His current line-up features guitarists Danny Wilson and Misha Nikolic and drummer Tim Brown.


25 & 26 March THE ARTS SOCIETY LECTURE Kingsbridge Methodist Church, 100 Fore Street, Kingsbridge From Holbein to Byrd. The art & music of the Tudor century. Thur 26 March 19.30 Keith James presents an honest and loving reflection of the time- less and insightful music of Yusuf - Cat Stevens. The amassed body of music from this hugely popular and sincerely adored singer/ songwriter made for a collection of ‘must have’ records across a whole generation. Songs such as Wild World, Father and Son, Moonshad- ow and Where do the Children play have been covered by hundreds of Artists worldwide. Keith is a well respected and inventive guitarist singer/songwrit- er who specialises in performing intimate, carefully researched bio- graphic style concerts. He weaves the story of Cat Stevens’ life from his early pop career, life threaten- ing illness and spiritual journey around a performance of his well crafted and memorable songs. This concert will give you far more than just the music itself...
