One of the Chamber’s flagship training offerings, this programme has been streamlined following valuable feedback and is now available as a five-day course; with the next programme starting 4 June. The modular programme includes the following:
• Developing vision, values and strategy leadership • Planning, direction and priorities • Finance for non-financial directors • People management approaches • Driving performance and leading change Steve Templeman, of the Legal Services Commission,
said: “We started with the basics and worked layer by layer, starting with the vision, then onto values, then the leadership style. We were determined for the vision to be more than just a platitude on the wall, we wanted the whole team to live the vision, walk the talk; starting with the leadership. “Step by step the process worked and we have
reaped enormous rewards. The team have a real sense of identity, and ownership, we have brought the team values to life, and have real pride in what we do. The process has helped us focus on the prime deliverable, and that has helped the staff understand the service we provide and their contribution. I believe that the material covered during the Director Development Programme has really helped us believe the vision and walk the talk.”

NEW – DIGITAL MARKETING QUALIFICATION Working with patron Anicca Digital, the Chamber’s new Academy Programme is the only digital marketing qualification delivered by practising agency professionals. It is a premium programme designed to give
students the theoretical and practical skills required to set up and manage in-house digital marketing campaigns; with dates available this April.
ENGAGING YOUR EMPLOYEES IN YOUR BUSINESS One of the most frequently asked questions we get is “how do I get my employees to be motivated, positive and proactive at work?”. Sometimes this is expressed as “how do I get the rest of my employees to think like my best people?”. This question relates to the subject of staff engagement which, when you get it right as a manager or director, has the potential to make a bigger difference to your business results than anything else. The programme is run over three days and
structured to suit the needs and requirements of the delegates involved, with a mix of taught sessions, discussion, facilitation of the team objectives, and coaching support for those involved.
