CHAMBER NEWS

Recruiting Talent carries success over into 2020

This year, the Recruiting Talent campaign is continuing to help companies recruit local talent, with the goal of increasing productivity and inclusivity within business. The initial Nottinghamshire event

took place at the Goosedale Conference Centre in Gedling. The event was opened by Karen Bradford, CEO of Gedling Borough Council; Dawn Edwards, Managing Director of Challenge Consulting and President of the Chamber; and

Lisa Vernon, Employment and Skills Coordinator from the D2N2 LEP. The D2N2 LEP focused on the Vision 2030 strategic plan and the priorities for the area, including increasing productivity and inclusive recruitment. During the year, four free events

are running to help companies to recruit local talent and to improve businesses’ understandings of the current landscape around employment and skills in each Nottinghamshire district.
