but do you agree? Crispy bacon, eggs sunny side up and a strongly brewed cup of tea are voted amongst the nation’s favourite breakfast items in a food study by Wren Kitchens, while black pudding and fried bread are the items Brits can live without. More than a quarter of Brits (28%) have a full English breakfast two or more times per week, but what’s on their plates? In the ultimate breakfast debate, research reveals whether your bacon should be crispy or fatty? Eggs scrambled, poached or fried? And don’t even get us started on what makes the perfect cuppa! With breakfast hailed as the most important meal of the day, Wren Kitchens, the UK’s number one kitchen retailer which has a showroom in Tunbridge Wells, carried out a controversial study, sparking debate on what really makes the perfect breakfast. Crispy bacon was voted the best when

compared to lightly, slightly fried and more burnt shades. It was chosen as the favourite by almost half of Brits (47%). • A – Lightly fried, 5% • B – Slightly fried, 37% • C – Crispy bacon, 47% • D – Burnt, 3%

Interestingly, more than one in 10 Brits (13%) don’t actually like tea. Smooth orange juice came out as the nation’s favourite juice, with 36% of people favouring it against 30% who prefer orange juice with bits.
