Like all of you, I am so excited to be a part of an organization like the Florida Federation of Fairs! The Federation is the leading advocate for fairs in Florida and will continue to be so for years to come. We are so fortunate to have had excellent leaders in our Board of Directors, Associate Members and our Executive Director. They have made the Federation a respected voice for fairs across the state. It has been my pleasure over the last 15 years to work with and get to know Lisa Hinton and I am so honored to follow in her footsteps as your Executive Director. Thank you Lisa for your dedication and exhausting work on behalf of the Florida Federation of Fairs. The fall fair season is upon us and we will be out visiting fairs across
the state and taking in those wonderful fair sights and smells and wit- nessing the participation from thousands of 4-H and FFA members across the Sunshine State. Please take a day or two and visit some fairs this fall. You never know but you very well might find something you were looking for at a Florida Fair! In December, we are looking forward to our members visiting legislators in Tallahassee during Farm Bureau Days to educate elected officials on the purpose of fairs and the great things that fairs do in their communities. I look forward to working with each of you in the future and seeing you at a great fair in Florida!
