Dartmouth Food Festival - 2019 New Business Award Winner

Fran Box, 31 and Rebecca Dale, 34 are the brains behind Plant Life Kitchen which was started in 2018 because they wanted to cook tasty food – whilst minimizing their impact on the climate and animals.

So the idea for a street food and catering business was born, bringing delicious and innovative food to the South West.

Anyone who has sampled the Plant Life Kitchen food already, know they serve up vibrant,

interesting and

sometimes naughty vegan food across Devon - what’s not to love!

With options such as the jack fruit burger with loaded fries or the seitan topped mac ‘n’ cheese - your tastebuds are sure to be amazed.

Fran and Rebecca enjoy running their street food stall and have also started to run refined supper clubs, complete with cocktails - we’ve no doubt that we have chosen a tasty winner this year.

On winning the award, Fran and Rebecca said: ‘We’re thrilled to win this award! We are truly committed to creating a business that allows vegans and non-vegans

Fran Box and Rebecca Dale - Plant Life Kitchen

alike to enjoy food that doesn’t have a large carbon footprint. The opportunity and exposure this award provides will allow is to reach so many people, so thank you Dartmouth Food Festival.’

From luxury waterside apartments to cosy cottages, we have the perfect holiday home for your Dartmouth Food Festival break.
