At the heart of many communities stand its school. And while Mexborough Grammar may have closed its doors to students many moons ago, its public ethos of working towards a better future through education lives on its new venture as Mexborough Business Centre.
Having established itself as one of the area’s prime communal office locations since opening in 2015, Mexborough Business Centre has also become a sought-after setting for local training providers thanks to the top rate facilities they have to offer.

As a local lad having grown up in
nearby Wath, owner Peter Newman is keen to help develop the face of the surrounding communities and believes self-improvement is key. By working with local training providers such as Cidori, Portland Training and Free2Learn, Peter hopes to give learners greater training opportunities to spark a positive change. The team at Mexborough Business Centre are also keen to build further relationships within the training sector and welcome other providers to make use of their outstanding facilities.

or upskilling, or even a complete change in careers, an expansion of courses available would kick-start brighter futures for many in the area. For those who have already found their chosen career path, Mexborough Business Centre also offer exceptional office and work spaces which have proven popular with a diverse range of business types.
The varied tenants cover all matter of industries from health and beauty to service contractors. There is also a coffee shop and dining room on-site providing fresh home- cooked meals and 5* food hygiene for both workers and the general public. Following the recent welcome of new clients, the centre is currently 90 percent occupied, all of whom benefit from competitive rents, a welcoming reception and call handling service, free parking and 24-hour security, plus business support in marketing and social media if required.

Chartered Accountants relocated to the centre in the summer and is thrilled at the services available. “The ease and amount of parking here is excellent for my clients and I particularly appreciate the added bonus of the reception taking my calls when I’m out of the office,” she says.
Another business which recently moved from the high street is VIP’s Hair Salon who wanted a safe and friendly location for both staff and their loyal clients.
