he school bell has rung and the kids are back at school but for many of us this is a memory from long ago. None more so than a group of ladies who attended Lady Mabel College including the first student to step through the doors when it opened 70 years ago. They share with us wonderful stories of their teacher training days based in the prestigious grounds of Wentworth Woodhouse. You can find out more about the history by embarking on one of the new Lady Mabel tours. One not-so-model pupil who made it big in the world of modelling, Victoria Nixon, stopped off to meet us on her recent visit to Yorkshire. The former Barnsley girl has faced many personal tragedies, but Victoria has stayed focused on her dream to see the world and live life her way. She has never forgotten her roots or let fame define her and has written a book to share her journey. We also met one local singing group who are testimony that surrounding yourself with positivity is the way to battle through challenging times. They are certainly singing off the same hymn sheet and perform up-beat songs that help to brighten up their days. After the holiday season many of us look to
get back in shape for Christmas and we have ways to help you achieve your goals as well as a new-look spa where you can enjoy a little pampering and relaxation. Talking of the festive season, now is the time to book your Christmas party, so make sure you don’t leave it too late.
And last but not least my side kick is back, Amber has returned from maternity leave, so once again we look forward to bringing you our bumper festive edition next time.
