CHN MOST STYLISH RIDER AWARD Victoria Nicholls

Olivia Watson

Won the award at the Blue Lights Charity Horse Show on Sunday 9th June held at Solihull Riding Club.

Won the award at Kingsheath Horse Show on Monday 27th May held at The Showground, Solihull.

About

‘I am a BHS & UKCC Level 3 coach and I was riding the Full Irish Draught Mare Loobrhu Ard Grandpa (Rosey) who is owned by Michaela Todd. Rosey really does turn her hoof to everything. She has team chased, Hunted, BS, BD, carried and side-saddle and is now competing at BE100. We have qualified for the Badmintion Grassroots Regional Finals and plan to step up to a CCI 2 Star in 2020. I can’t thank Michaela enough for letting me ride her special horse, and for the brilliant training I’m receiving from BE Coaches Victoria Gallantree and Caroline Moore.’

Georgina Hulme Smith

Won the award at H.O.P.E summer show festival held at Weston lawns equestrian complex on Sunday 30th June.

About

‘I have had Domino on full loan for 5 years this summer. In the beginning he was freshly backed and took about four people to hold him just so you could hop on! Now, he has completed numerous dressage championships and we even made it to last year’s Trailblazers where we won our consolation class with 68%. We are now planning to take part in our first elementary thanks to the encouragement of his owner; Tina Kazmi and instructor Sir Lee Pearson. However, it is not just all dressage as he loves a pop on the cross country course!’

‘To my complete amazement myself and my mare Doberlina aka DD were so lucky to win the prestigious award.

I have owned DD for 2 years and over the 2 years we have built a very strong bond. DD a former medium dressage horse and a brood mare who after having her last foal was sold to me and I have been working on getting her confident within the busy show environments, DD is now loving the shows. We also won supreme champion at the same show so had a very good day. Next year we are hoping to come out as a side saddle horse and compete in the ladies show horse classes for this year, we just enjoy our show outing.’

About Photo taken by Lottie-Elizabeth Photography

Penny (9 years old) has grown up around horses and has ridden since a toddler. She has been taught almost exclusively by her mother Jane Harper who shows her own two horses. She is also a member of the Bicester and Warden Hill Pony Club and attends rallies and events. Jane rides side saddle and so it was a natural progression for Penny to have a go and she was soon hooked. They acquired a side saddle and Penny has enjoyed success both side saddle and astride on her twenty year old pony Bunbury Best Man who is known at home as Gorgeous George who she shares with her brother Thomas.
