JUNE 2019 THE RIDER /43

Lesley Cruickshank Named Dressage Volunteer Of The Month For May 2019

Ottawa, ON, May 24, 2019 – Eques- trian Canada (EC) is pleased to an- nounce that Lesley Cruickshank of Maitland, ON, has been selected as the May 2019 recipient of the Dres- sage Volunteer of the Month Award. Ever since her childhood in the

Hudson area of Quebec, Lesley has been involved with horses and dres- sage. A long-time owner of many ponies and horses, she has been very active in Pony Club in a variety of roles. For many years, Lesley’s sharp mind and clear writing skills have made her a regular and much re- quested judge’s scribe in Ontario and Quebec. She has worked with FEI and EC certified judges at major competitions, and also guided and encouraged new judges at the school- ing show level. In addition, Lesley hopes to groom and cheer for her cur- rent pony in the dressage arena this summer. EC extends its thanks to Lesley

for many years of volunteering and supporting dressage; she is a well-de- serving recipient of this recognition.
