HUSH HEATH’S HIGH FIVE
BBS Construction Ltd’s recently completed Hush Heath Winery building has been shortlisted for a total of fi ve prestigious awards. Inspired by surrounding Kentish barns and agricultural architecture, Hush Heath Winery houses a new state-of-the-art production facility and a sustainable visitor centre offering talks, tours and tastings. The vision was to provide a unique ‘one of a kind’ winery experience, not seen anywhere in the UK. Geoff Slee, director of BBS Construction Ltd, said: “We are very proud to have been shortlisted for fi ve awards – a fantastic testament to not only the innovative design of the building, but for the whole
construction team involved in the project. The new winery building is not only sustainable and sympathetic to its surroundings, but it has also created employment and training opportunities and has really put Kent on the map for wine production and tourism. HUSH HEATH WINERY HAS BEEN SHORTLISTED FOR THE FOLLOWING AWARDS: • Site of the Year 2019 at the 2019 NFB awards. • Project of the Year and Client of the Year – the SECBE awards.
• Best Commercial Project at the South East RICS awards.
• Construction Project of the Year 2019 at Kent Invicta Chamber’s Annual Business Awards.
