Pickering Lunch What a start to the Pickering Cancer Drop-In Centre’s 15th birthday celebrations – a St George’s Day lunch hosted by the Exiles, who are very special friends of Pickering, at the Spa Hotel in Tunbridge Wells. The generosity shown at the lunch was phenomenal, the atmosphere was superb – and a massive thank you goes to Simon Jones and all the Exiles, Adger Brown, the Spa Hotel, Kent Balloons and everybody who supported the event and donated such fantastic auction prizes and contributed to such an amazing afternoon, raising a whopping total of £41,000.

GIN & IT! Otford-based charity Hospices of Hope held its fi rst-ever gin tasting event at Vittle and Swig in Tunbridge Wells. The evening was supported by a number of gin and mixer suppliers and local shops in the town kindly donated raffl e prizes. Chartered accountants Perrys, who has offi ces in London’s Mayfair and the city as well as in Medway, Tunbridge Wells, West Malling, Wrotham and Orpington, sponsored the event – and this generosity meant that more than £1,300 for hospice care in South East Europe was raised on the night.
