This year, there is more on offer for visitors coming along with mini Pub in the Park-ers to Tom Kerridge’s Pub in the Park Tour when it returns to Dunorlan Park in Tunbridge Wells from 12th-14th July. Like last year, Firefl y Events will be bringing their cinema tent with comfy beanbags to show some family favourites such as Transylvania 3 and Mary Poppins Returns (PG). Cookies Kitchen are so excited to be


giving children the opportunity to be inspired in the kitchen, by bringing a series of cooking sessions to Pub in the Park. There will also be a chance to get creative with arts, crafts and nature activities. Or why not enjoy some good old-fashioned family time with traditional giant outdoor games such as Connect4, quoits, Jenga and noughts and crosses? The organisers are also pleased to be partnering with Trinity Theatre in Tunbridge Wells, to bring a range of activities for children to Pub in the Park. Their storytellers sessions will excite and delight your children, encouraging them to bring well-known


stories to life accompanied to live music through games and activities. Awards success for Kent Crisps & Kentish Oils


Laura Bounds, owner of Kent Crisps & Kentish Oils, based at Highland Court Farm at Bridge, near Canterbury, has had a busy couple of months picking up a run of awards both for the businesses and in recognition of her own achievements. First off was the


Taste of Kent Awards, where Kentish Oils’ new Rapeseed Oil blended with Garden Mint was awarded Best Ambient Food Product having faced a panel of expert judges. The oil underwent taste tests, with judges commenting on the oil’s “delightful fresh flavour”, as well as having to provide information on the provenance of ingredients and branding linking back to Kent. The same week saw Laura pick up a double award at the Kent Women in


Business Awards, as the only fi nalist to win two awards – The Growth Award recognising Kent Crisps & Kentish Oils’ sustained growth since Laura took on the


businesses in 2017, along with Kent Business Woman of the Year (under fi ve years in current role). “It has been a real


milestone for me personally in my career. It is always extremely rewarding to pick up product awards, but to also have my own work recognised really makes all of the hours of hard work even more worth it,” said Laura, whose third award came in the form of the Federation of Small Businesses Small Business Awards, where


Kent Crisps were awarded Micro Business of the Year for the South East.
