he countdown to the Sevenoaks Summer Festival is well and truly underway with a super impressive line-up to help the popular annual event celebrate its 50th anniversary in style!


Festival 2019 opens on 22nd June with the Festival Fair in Bligh’s Meadow – with plenty also going on in The Shambles and Vine Gardens throughout the day – and sets the scene for the amazing variety of performers and performances taking place in and around Sevenoaks up until the Finale Concert on Sunday 7th July,


which once again sees a return of the ever-popular Rick Wakeman. With her stunning voice, encyclopaedic knowledge of jazz, swing and big band music, Clare is one of the UK’s most celebrated and much-loved singers, while The Len Phillips Big Band features 16 of the UK’s fi nest musicians. There are two amazing musical tributes coming up this month as part of The Hever Festival, kicking off on Sunday 2nd with Streisand: The Music, The Lady, The Legend, featuring the iconic sound of Barbra Streisand with her best-loved and some of the most beautifully crafted songs ever written including Evergreen, The Way We Were and Woman in Love. This is followed on Sunday 16th by Grapevine Soul, the ultimate Soul and Motown experience with outstanding vocals, dynamic choreography, beautiful harmonies and dazzling costumes. Jazz Band Ball The New Foxtrot Serenaders return to the Barn Theatre Oxted with Barber, Bilk & Ball, a toe-tapping tribute to the very best of British Dixieland Jazz.
