Welcome to the May issue It’s a beautiful time of year with many plants
coming into bloom. Looking around you may notice that Lytchett Minster and Upton Town Council is trialling three different
methods to create wild flower areas or meadows in the area (pg10).
As the weather warms up, Keith at Hillside Vets reminds us to keep an eye on our pets (pg23) and Random Roamers take trips out to enjoy the countryside (pg25).
We are bursting at the seams with local clubs, groups and events this month – see pages 17 and 24-29 and 37 for details. There is also a competition in this issue, with tickets to be won to see Broadway Showtunes at the Bournemouth Pavillion – see page 6 for details.
Do you know your oatcakes from your pancakes? Local ex-marine, Dave Alcock, is supplying many local eateries with his new Dorset oatcakes (pg17). Free from additives and made from oatmeal, they boast many potential health benefits. Why not give them a try if you are in Upton Cafe?
Welcome to new advertiser Ladybirds Playschool (pg12). If you’d like to promote your business or organisation in our local magazines, please do get in touch.
Until next time, Karen In this issue...
