Christina appointed CEO at Rothera Sharp


Rothera Sharp Solicitors has named Christina Yardley, previously the firm’s Business Development Partner, as its new Chief Executive Officer. Christina will work alongside Ann-Marie Bowman, formerly Rothera Sharp’s Managing Partner, who steps into the role of Chairwoman. Joining them on the board is Richard Hammond, who takes on the new role of Chief Innovations and Risk Officer. These new positions are part


of a wider restructure to facilitate the firm’s plans for growth. In her role Christina, who is


also a partner in the firm’s wills and probate department, will develop and implement the firm’s business plan while continuing with her business development role, managing the firm’s professional support division and reviewing the firm’s financial strategy. She said: “This is an exciting


time for the firm and I’m really looking forward to working with the excellent team at Rothera Sharp to drive forward our vision of a people-focused firm that operates collaboratively and ethically within the wider community to give our clients a service that exceeds their expectations.”


New MD at A1 Comms


A1 Comms has named Steve Heald as its Managing Director of B2B, tasked with identifying opportunities of expansion within the business division, developing the fixed line communications proposition and driving increased revenue from mobile. He brings almost 15 years’


experience in the telecommunications industry and joins from O2 UK where, as Head of B2B Direct Partners, he led the team responsible for developing business mobile and digital revenues via O2 partners. He said: “I’m thrilled to join A1

Chair of Governors role is a ‘major privilege’ for Sean


A highly-experienced senior executive with a strong track record of helping organisations improve their performance has been named as West Nottinghamshire College’s new independent Chair of Governors. Sean Lyons will head-up the


college’s new-look corporation board, which has been bolstered by a string of recent appointments that have broadened its expertise. He succeeds Nevil Croston, who


stepped down in December 2018 after almost five years in the role. Mr Lyons, 62, is an accomplished


industrial executive with more than three decades of experience in the steel and manufacturing sectors, where he held high-ranking positions at some of the world’s leading steel firms. He is also a former NHS chairman,


having headed-up the board of directors at Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, which runs King’s Mill and Newark hospitals, for a three-year term between June 2013 and June 2016. He said: “I’ve become very fond


of Mansfield and Ashfield, in particular the people that live and work in the area, and I was looking for a new challenge. Although the college is going through some significant difficulties at present, I’ve experienced similar situations at other organisations in the past, where things needed to improve,

so I’d like to see what I can do to help.” He described the role as chair as


a “major privilege”, adding: “I intend to hold that privilege very carefully and do whatever I can to


provide the leadership and guidance that is needed. I’m excited about the journey ahead and certainly not daunted by it, although I don’t underestimate the challenge either.”


Dan joins Blueprint Interiors’ team


Ashby-based commercial office design and fit out specialists Blueprint Interiors is growing its Midlands presence, having recruited a new BD manager for the West Midlands as well as external professionals to manage marketing strategy, PR, online content and telemarketing. Founder and former Director of


Impact Hub Birmingham, Dan Zastawny, joins Blueprint having spent the past five years managing a 6,000sq ft collaborative work and events space. Dan said: “I was strongly


attracted to the story of Blueprint, the quality of its people, the work it delivers and the inherent values that drives its designs. Part of the work at Impact Hub Birmingham was overseeing the growth and development of a collaborative workspace and engaged network, and I hope to bring these experiences to the role.”
