Indy lawyers merge into £12m firm


Two of the Midlands independent legal firms, The Wilkes Partnership (Birmingham and Solihull) and Coley & Tilley, have merged. The merger has resulted in a 185-employee


company with a turnover of £12m a year. Wilkes has offices in Birmingham and Solihull,


and Coley & Tilley was based in Waterloo Street, in Birmingham city centre. The personal injury team will stay under the


Coley & Tilley brand, due to it being recognised as a market leader in this field in the Midlands. Nigel Wood, senior partner at The Wilkes


Partnership, said: “This merger continues the long-term growth plans that we have for the firm and by joining with Coley & Tilley we have added considerable legal experience. We want to provide the best quality legal services to clients and through this merger we are doing that.”

Telecoms business


connects with Expo Telecommunications solutions firm Telephone Europe has signed a major sponsorship and advertising deal with Solihull Chamber of Commerce. The firm is the first sponsor of the


Solihull Expo, on 17 May, and Solihull Chamber of Commerce’s annual dinner and awards, on 17 October. Telephone Europe has also agreed to


take the top advertising banner of the Chamber’s weekly newsletter. David Murphy, director at Telephone


Europe, said: “We are really pleased with our sponsorship and advertising package with the Solihull Chamber of Commerce. “We are committed to Solihull and the
