BIDDING IN DNW AUC T IONS We are pleased to accept bids for items in this auction by several methods, apart from the Advance Bidding facility which we strongly recommend. A commission form is enclosed with this catalogue for your convenience; this should be completed and mailed to us so that we receive it by the day before the auction. If you are an established DNW client you may bid by email to auctions@dnw.co.uk (we strongly advise that you request email confirmation that your bids have been received before the start of the auction); or you may telephone your bids to us up to 16:00 on the day before the auction.
All Advance Bids will be executed for you as cheaply as possible and we will not artificially increase the opening bid so as to land you on your maximum. Thus the bidding may be against you as your maximum bid is reached. If identical bids are placed any bid received earlier will take precedence. To prevent another buyer winning a lot at your maximum bid, we offer a ‘plus one’ option, whereby if the bidding is against you as your maximum bid is reached, the auctioneer will execute one further bid on your behalf.
