Toby will represent Bath & North East Somerset and Wiltshire this school year. Toby was selected from over 500 boys who attended the trials last term. Toby will now start a coaching programme based in the Bath area with the rest of his new team mates, he will also be given the opportunity to compete against other school district sides.

International netball player Rachel Dunn emphasized the importance of a work - sport balance during her visit to Abbeyfield School. Rachel currently balances playing for England and Super league netball team Surrey Storm with her career as a part-time genetic biologist.
She led a netball session with girls, taking them through a warm-up, drills and a game before conducting a brief Q&A session. “It’s important to have a balance; I have concentrated on academic things and sport, focusing on studies so you are a well-rounded person at the end, studying is very important.”
The University of Bath graduate, who plays Goal Shoot or Goal Attack, also emphasized the range of life skills young athletes can take into later life and the need for positive female role models across all sports.
“You can get a lot of skills from sport, communication, team skills etc, a lot of life skills that you can put into school and work, I think that these days you can aspire to be a sports person, female footballers are going full time etc, it helps to try and get more female role models out there.”
PB from qualifications at Watford Grand Prix in July! Ethan recently competed in the South of England road relay team for a place in the Nationals. A fantastic competition with 53 teams of 4, covering a distance of 3k each. Ethan getting the fastest time for his team with 10mins 13secs.
