Lawyers welcome dynamic duo
Law firm Freeths has bolstered its dispute management team in Birmingham with the appointment of associate solicitor James Modley. Mr Modley, who has joined from rival firm Shoosmiths, has experience in representing a range of businesses and high-net worth individuals, by providing general dispute management advice. He has also specialised in advising the latter, along
with sports stars and celebrities, in reputational management issues. Within this field, he is an expert in the misuse of
private information, and was instrumental in recovering significant damages for his clients during the recent ‘phone hacking’ scandal. Mr Modley’s new team has also seen former trainee
Lauren Davies qualify as an assistant solicitor. She specialises in contractual disputes. Richard Coates, partner and head of dispute management in Birmingham, said: “Lauren and James are part of our commitment to recruit and retain the highest calibre lawyers in the city. “As a result, the team continues to see fantastic
growth, providing first class advice to our impressive range of clients.”
