He has held senior roles at Combined Power Systems (now ENER-G) as Contracts Sales Manager and Deutz UK within their Energy Division before joining Edina UK Ltd in 2006 as its Joint Managing Director. During his tenure at Edina UK Ltd, Tony has been instrumental in the development and growth of the company. In 2006,
Edina secured the position as official distributor for MWM gas engines in the UK and Ireland, and soon won the com- pany’s first order for a 3.9 megawatt combined heat and power plant at Leeds General Hospital. Under Tony’s direction, Edina was proud
to receive a 2014 Queen’s Award for Enterprise for its innovation within the renewable energy sector and has continued to be recognised within the power generation industry – winning multiple awards for high profile projects [see page 18 for details on a second Queen’s Award]. The Power Industry Awards was an important part of the Critical Power and Decentralised Energy event which took place at Coventry’s Ricoh Arena on the 18th and 19th April.

Power Generation has won the Project of the Year Award for providing key support to the construction project behind the world’s largest airport - Istanbul Grand Airport. Istanbul Grand Airport (IGA) chose
Turkey’s leading generator manufacturer, Aksa Power Generation, as the power supplier to the Istanbul Grand Airport. Within the scope of its agreement with IGA, Aksa installed 45 x 2500 kVA generators powered by Perkins 4000 Series engines, supplying 112,5 MVA energy for the Istanbul New Airport. Aksa Power Generation currently supplies over 100 MW to Istanbul Grand Airport with 2500 kVA generators consisting of 45 X AP
