Shah Wali Khan was born on 1 June 1896 and graduated from Veterinary College on 11 April 1918, enlisting in the Indian Army Veterinary Corps on 16 July of that year. He served during the Great War with the Egyptian Expeditionary Force from that date, and was promoted Jemadar on 1 September 1923 whilst serving with No. 3 Section Rawalpindi; and Risaldar on 27 February 1939 whilst serving at the Indian Mobile Veterinary Hospital, Delhi. Appointed Veterinary Assistant Surgeon on 16 February 1940, he was awarded the Order of British India 2nd Class in 1943, and was granted an Emergency Commission on 13 March 1944.

Ghulam Mohammed was born on 28 June 1885 and graduated from Veterinary College on 5 April 1911. He served during the Great War with the 32nd Mule Corps, and joined the Indian Army Veterinary Corps on 29 September 1918 as a Warrant Officer 1st Class. He subsequently served with the 49th Mule Corps in Iraq and was promoted Jemadar on 1 February 1929. In 1930 he was serving at the Remount Depot, Sargodha, and later served at the Mobile Veterinary Hospital, Maymyo, Burma, and then with No. 8 Section, Quetta. In July 1940 he was re-employed as a Viceroy’s Commissioned Officer serving at Mona, until retiring in 1943.
Abdul Aziz was born on 23 February 1882 and graduated from Veterinary College on 4 April 1910. He served during the Great War with the 31st Mule Corps, and joined the Indian Army Veterinary Corps on 6 September 1918. He subsequently served with the 6th Camel Corps, 1919-21, and was promoted Jemadar on 9 February 1925. He later served at the Remount Depot, Saharanpur.
Fateh Khan served during the Great War with the 9th Mule Corps, and was awarded the Indian Distinguished Service Medal for his services in France (London Gazette 14 January 1916). Promoted Jemadar, he subsequently served as Adjutant of No. 3 Mule Corps.
S. Syed Hussain served during the Great War with the 15th Mule Corps in France, Egypt, and Mesopotamia.
Ratbir Rai (listed on the C.W.G.C. Roll as R. M. Rai) served as a Veterinary Assistant with ‘C’ Depot, Mule Corps, during the Great War, and died in Mesopotamia on 23 December 1917. He is commemorated on the Basra Memorial, Iraq.

Sultan Muhammad, the son of Alaf Din, of Ranjali, Rawalpindi, served with the 27th Battery, 26th Mountain Regiment, Royal Indian Artillery, and was killed/died on 12 March 1942. He is buried in the Suez African and Indian Army War Cemetery, Egypt.

Captain Arthur Peter Godman, 1st Battalion, Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry, was killed in action in France on 25 May 1940. Son of Air Commodore Arthur Lowthian Godman, C.M.G., D.S.O., of Smeaton Manor, Northallerton, Yorkshire. He is commemorated by name in the Comines (Komen) Communal Cemetery, Belgium.
