SHOWELL C. 1902 - 1914, the blue cloth skull complete with all gilt metal fittings, the post 1902 frontal plate of crowned star pattern with laurel and Garter overlays, in the centre on a ground of black velvet a silver antelope, a silver scroll below ‘The Royal Warwickshire Regiment’, buff leather sweat band but only elements of the silk lining remain, the plate not original to the helmet, the tin with brass name plaque, the helmet plate with good quality gilt, gilt loss on all other areas and sundry small moth holes

THE KING’S (LIVERPOOL) REGIMENT MILITIA BATTALIONS OFFICER’S BLUE CLOTH HELMET C. 1903 - 08, a good quality example, the blue cloth skull complete with all plated fittings, the frontal plate of crowned star pattern with laurel and Garter overlays, in the centre on a ground of crimson velvet the White Horse of Hanover with scroll above ‘Nec Aspera Terrent’, a scroll at the bottom ‘The King’s Regt’, the plate is original to the helmet, white leather sweat band with ivory silk lining (part detached), retailed by ‘Hobson & Sons, London’, the spike’s thread is stripped and therefore loose otherwise very good overall condition
