Peter McCann served with Liverpool City Police and was awarded the Liverpool Shipwreck and Humane Society’s Silver General Service Medal for stopping a runaway horse at Bramley Moore Dock on 11 January 1913; and received a Second Award Bar for stopping a second runaway horse two weeks later on 28 January 1913.
