STUDENTS ARE KEEPING THEIR CUSTOMERS SWEET


Sixth form students are looking for innovative ways to engage with new customers and keep regulars happy at a sweet shop they have been running for three years. Students from The Bee Hive, which belongs to


Northgate School Arts College Academy, get valuable work experience at The Sweet Bee shop in Kingsthorpe where they gain experience in all aspects of customer service and running a small business. The young people all have special educational


needs and gain essential skills which they can carry on into future employment. Existing projects for The Sweet Bee include pop-up shops at food fayres and in Northampton’s main shopping centre. Executive headteacher Sheralee Webb


said: “Through their charity sweet franchise network, The Sweet Bee provides a selection of high-quality sweets to workplaces and various retail and leisure offices by supplying self- vending honesty-style charity sweet boxes. “Their latest project is to supply wedding
