ISSUE SPOTLIGHT: COMMUNICATIONS & MARKETING ISSUESPOTLIGHT

COMMUNICATIONS & MARKETING is a vital tool for spreading your company’s message and securing new business

LEARNING FROM CASE STUDIES ALERT SYSTEM

A team of outstanding marketing communications consultants and copywriters is sharing its secrets for success with Chamber members. Tesserae Communications believes so

strongly in the value of firms having case studies in their marketing plans it is offering members half-price case studies until June. Managing director Christine Nairne

(pictured) said: “There are ‘golden threads’ that I call ‘key messages’ running throughout every organisation. Small and medium-sized businesses can really harness the power of these messages to deliver outstanding storytelling. “Why is this important for hard-nosed

entrepreneurs? It is, quite literally, the key to success. Effective storytelling unlocks the potential of your business. It demonstrates how you uniquely meet the needs of your customers.

“Without sharing what is unique about your business

you will simply stand in line with everyone else who offers a similar product or service. Almost inevitably, that will lead to a race to the bottom on price. That will seriously damage your profitability and sustainability. “If I have to recommend a single tool

to deliver really engaging and effective storytelling, it will always be the case study. “Just like any other good story, a case study has a beginning (the problem), a middle (the solution) and an end (the

benefits). In just a few hundred words you can describe what you did, how you did it and why it

was valuable.”

IS RELAUNCHED Northamptonshire Police has relaunched a free message alert system to better inform people and businesses about local crime and police activity, helping keep their communities safe. Northamptonshire

Neighbourhood Alert, formerly Community Connect, now allows frontline police officers to send messages direct from their mobile devices. They can do this in real time while they are out policing the county. Alerts can be received by email, text message or voice message.
