Investment brings increase in capacity
East Midlands-based manufacturer DPI (UK) has invested in a new, automated twin-headed mitre saw costing over £45,000 to support growing demand from large- format printing trade and creative agencies in the UK and Ireland. From its factory and new
showroom in Castle Donington, DPI (UK) manufactures aluminium frames and light boxes used with tensioned fabric graphics. Director at DPI (UK), Paul
Tomlinson (pictured), said: “We’re incredibly busy at the moment. As we offer the largest variety of
profiles for use in tension fabric displays on the market, a massive increase in demand made this investment decision for us. “This saw doubles our
manufacturing capacity and gives us the additional capability to cut variable angles and much larger profiles and we’ve seen an immediate increase in productivity which means we can meet some very tight lead-times. “We’ve seen how quickly this
latest investment has had a positive effect, both on our order book and on staff morale.”
