BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMMES
Our business development programmes have been designed to help organisations arm their leaders with the skills to take their business forward. Covering a wide range of management and leadership techniques, the courses will teach delegates to improve line management techniques and also look at key objectives and financial performance.
DIRECTOR DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME – SIX-DAY PROGRAMME
Time is running out to book a place on our next Director Development Programme, which starts in Chesterfield on 9 January. As someone who is responsible for the daily
operations of a company, organisation, or corporate division, who do you go to for direction? Our six-session programme helps delegates define
the vision for their business and gives them the tools to make their vision happen. If you are a director or senior manager in a company, this programme is designed for you to make a real difference in the ability of your business to consistently achieve its objectives.
FIRST-LINE MANAGER DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME – FIVE-DAY PROGRAMME
Starts 17 January (Nottingham) and 12 February (Chesterfield) This programme focuses on the key topics needed to
be effective and efficient in a manager's role – where decisions made have implications on others. More than just technical learning, the course is a
good opportunity to meet managers from other organisations which are experiencing similar issues. It is also a chance to share how issues have been overcome. This interactive course gives coverage of fundamental management practices that can be applied as soon as you get back to the office.

Managing changes associated with Brexit presents arguably the single-biggest challenge to UK businesses since the Second World War. Even worldwide economic crises
are followed by a return to normal conditions. However with Brexit, business conditions may be transformed for years and decades
to come. Moreover, the details of any changes are currently relatively unknown and this will potentially remain the case up to the Brexit deadline. As with all change, it is advisable
to begin managing the potential impacts before it happens. For that reason, the Chamber is providing this programme of four support and development seminars to assist businesses in preparing for Brexit. The programme will be broken up into the following sections.
DAY ONE: • Setting the context and participant issues identification
• Outline of change management approach
DAY TWO: • Feedback from participants • Brexit response considerations
DAY THREE: • Outline of business recalibration and remodelling methodology
• Strategic decision making and negotiating techniques
DAY FOUR: • Final review plus UK’s withdrawal in the previous month from the EU
• Future consolidation work post- Brexit
