Leicestershire and Rutland business members of Leicestershire Cares are to ensure thousands of children who might otherwise face a Christmas without presents do receive toys and other gifts. It has decided its 18th annual


Collect for Christmas appeal will be for the Leicester-based charity Toys on the Table. Employers from across the two counties are signing up to take part, with employees invited to donate new toys or raise money which will be used to buy gifts. Last Christmas, Toys on the Table


made sure more than 8,000 gifts were matched up with 4,000 children aged up to 16 in Leicestershire and Rutland. The children are referred to the charity by a variety of agencies and their schools. Since it first year in 2000, the

Businesses will be encouraging
