HSKS Greenhalgh acquires Cobb Burgin
Midlands’ chartered accountants and business advisers HSKS Greenhalgh has increased its presence in Nottingham following its acquisition of Wollaton-based accountancy firm Cobb Burgin & Co. The acquisition coincides with
the retirement of Cobb Burgin founder Chris Cobb, who started the business in 1981. HSKS Greenhalgh Managing
Director Colin Peacock said: “When looking to expand our business through acquisition, we are always keen to identify opportunities with firms that share our philosophy of establishing long-term relationships with clients and this is definitely the case with Cobb Burgin, which is one of the reasons why we are so excited to have completed the deal. “We look forward to getting to
know Cobb Burgin’s clients, who can rest assured that they will continue to receive the same high level of client service.”

Football club renews its partnership with John Pye
Nottingham-based John Pye Auctions has renewed its agreement as official commercial partner of Nottingham Forest Football Club for the fifth season running. John Pye Auctions started its
commercial support of Forest back in the 2012-13 season, when it became main club and shirt sponsor, and has continued its commitment over the past five years. As official club sponsor of The
Reds, John Pye Auctions’ branding will adorn the players’ walk-out tunnel and other signage across the Trent End stand of The City Ground, as well as 3D mats pitch-side advertising, seasonal club hospitality within Forest’s 1865 Club and signed balls and replica shirts for promotional giveaways.
‘The club is delighted to renew the partnership with a strong Nottingham-based business like John Pye Auctions’
When John Pye Auctions started
its sponsorship of Forest five years ago, it was the first auction house in the UK to sign a sponsorship deal with a professional football club. The company has a long-standing
association with sport and supports a number of clubs, both at professional and grass roots levels. Managing Director Adam Pye
said: “We are proud to be supporting Nottingham Forest for our fifth consecutive season. “John Pye Auctions continues to
grow nationally and internationally and even though we now have 22 trading sites across the country, our
roots are, and always will be, firmly in Nottingham as this is where it all began.” Chief Commercial Director at
Nottingham Forest, David Cook, said: “The club is delighted to renew the partnership with a strong Nottingham-based business like John Pye Auctions. We would like to thank it for its continued support over the past five seasons and we are excited to play a part in its growth locally, nationally and internationally. “We look forward to continuing
our commercial relationship with the firm.”
