oin us at City Hall Council chambers with your friends and family for Batavia’s 10th annual Green Night Out at the Movies! The Batavia Environmental Commission, with the support of the Batavia Park District,
is thrilled to provide an evening of FREE entertainment: a green themed movie, free popcorn and drink (for those that bring a reusable cup and bowl) and lively discussion about the topic of the movie afterward.
Wasted! The Story of Food Waste aims to change the way people buy, cook, recycle, and eat food. WASTED! exposes the criminality of food waste and how it’s directly contributing to climate change. Through the eyes of chef-heroes like Anthony Bourdain, Dan Barber, Mario Batali, Massimo Bottura, and Danny Bowien, audiences will see how the world’s most influential chefs make the most of every kind of food, transforming what most people consider scraps into incredible dishes that create a more secure food system. WASTED! shows how any action—no matter how smal—can lead to new ways of using more food, feeding more people, curbing environmental damage, stimulating technology and business, and ultimately improving the health and well-being of all citizens worldwide.

oin us for an evening of fun, education, and conservation as we turn off the lights, play in the dark as part of the global movement uniting people to protect the planet. Take part in this free international green event as Healing
Arts Metaphysical Center, in cooperation with the Batavia Park District, presents Earth Hour 2018.
Some of the activities you can look forward to include games in the dark for kids of all ages, crystal singing bowls, yoga by candlelight (all levels welcome,) chair massage, Reiki, Reflexology, drumming circle, acupuncture, aura cleansings and gong meditation. Courtesy of Fox Valley Astronomical Society, there will be a chance to view and learn more about the stars and telescopes.
Batavia’s 10th annual Earth Hour Celebration promises to be a fun-filled, no lights, evening packed with free events the entire family can enjoy! There is something for everyone, all in one location!
