Top tips to storing

blackberries ❤ After picking and washing, ensure your berries are really dry. Place in a container lined with kitchen paper to absorb any excess moisture - they should last for two to three days if refrigerated. Avoid placing them in the salad drawer of your fridge as this is sometimes a little damp.

❤ Make your haul of blackberries last longer by freezing them. They can be used straight out of the freezer and don’t have to be defrosted before cooking. Once washed and dried thoroughly, place the berries on a lined tray in a single layer. Once frozen, simply transfer to a freezer bag and store for up to 3 months. Alternatively, blitz them into a puree and freeze in an ice cube tray to use in Christmas cocktails or super-quick sauces.
