Green parish councillors are encourag- ing commuters to park on the new CALA
Homes car park, which is now open and free for all to use. The council is looking into installing signage for the entrance to the car park off Fiery Hill, to make it clear that it is not just for residents of the Foxhills development.
residents are invited to comment on the parish’s
Neighbourhood Plan during a three-day exhibition of the plans at the Baptist Church from October 5–7. This is part of a six-week consultation period from October 1 until mid-November. Comments received will be ad- dressed by the parish council and Steering Group.
Doherty, retiring clerk of Lickey
& Blackwell Parish Council, was presented with a gift by council- lors (including Chairman Nick Forknell, pictured with Helen) in recognition of her service.

on the new CALA estate in Barnt Green reported being
shaken from their sleep by two explosions on the site shortly before midnight on August 17. Emergency ser- vices were soon on the scene, as shown on this picture taken by a resident of the Foxhills development. Some villagers said the explosions were caused by
vandals setting a JCB on fire at the bottom of the site in an area behind the new car park close to the Kendal End Road junction with Fiery Hill Road.
