Broadstone First School, Age 4-9

A very kind member of the community sent this photograph to me of the school as it was in 1919.

school life and we truly appreciate it.

Volunteer club leaders have contributed a variety of clubs this year including a ‘Gardening Club’. Children have loved this and even entered a competition!

Local businesses always support us so generously, whether it be donating

In those days the school was at the heart of the community and central to its success was the support of everyone locally.

I am so proud to lead this school now, where not much has changed and we receive the support of so many people.

Our Parent Teacher Association is, without a shadow of a doubt, an incredible group of parents, grandparents and friends. They have raised so many funds over the years to support our school.

Thanks to all our volunteer readers who come in to read with those children who need that extra boost of confi dence! It is such a valuable contribution to

items, giving prizes for a raffl e or even allowing us to advertise in their publication free of charge! We are so grateful to you all.

We have a wonderful group of people that volunteer their time for a variety of reasons; for example to look after the library or share skills with children. If you feel you have any skills you would like to offer, please contact the school. We are always looking for people to inspire our young learners or support our great staff in any way! All volunteers are asked to complete a Disclosure and Barring Service check.

I would like to say a huge thank you to all the people that have supported Broadstone First School this year – I look forward to seeing you in September.

Michelle Stone, Headteacher
