Introducing MicroCEDS Ltd 3D Solutions for the 21st Century
MicroCEDS Ltd is a small Consultancy offering a range of services to organisations working in the development field. These primarily concern the Infrastructure field, with a major interest in land drainage and solutions for development sites.
The name is an Anagram of two classic engineering software packages: MicroDrainage and CADS, hence mini Civil Engineering Design Solutions.
Services Offered The range of services includes: • Site appraisal
• Drainage design solutions, primarily with land reclamation and re-profiling, often in conjunction with Landscape Architects
• Highway design from major trunk roads to housing estate layouts, including negotiating the requisite Section 278 and 38 Agreements.
Personal Profile
The Director is a semi-retired Civil Engineer, a former Member of the Institution of Civil Engineers for some forty years. He has worked predominately in the infrastrutucure field, working in multi-disciplinary team environments
Current Projects
• He is currently commissioned part time by Nottinghamshire County Council through Waterman Aspen to snag the NET2 Tram extensions and overview the remedial works process
• The full restoration of the Eastwood Hall Hotel Viking Lake including sourcing funding
• The Butterley Trust: a proposal to reclaim part of the site of the former Butterley Iron Works for leisure, including access to the Butterley tunnel of the Cromford Canal and establishing a Boat Trip operation in the Tunnel to the world-wide unique ‘Wide Hole’ where a ‘Son et Luminaire’ presentation will be made about the history of the canal and tunnel.
Future Development
The Company’s aim is to secure further work in the Development field, primarily through repeat business and networking activities.
