Community award for REAL Education

Recognition for agency
Social media agency i-Sourcer has scooped the Entrepreneurial Spirit Award at the Mansfield 2020 Business Awards. The award was given to an individual or business that the judges believed could demonstrate the realisation of their entrepreneurial vision in the establishment and development of a successful business. MD John Morley said: “To be
given the award in our first 16 months of trading is a real coup for the business and something I am incredibly proud of. Every business owner can relate to the long hours and sacrifices made when you are establishing a business and winning an award really makes it all worthwhile.”
JCB machines star in film
More than 20 JCB machines are playing a starring role in a cult film following the biggest product placement project in the company’s history. A variety of JCB machines
were supplied to 20th Century Fox for the making of the new Alien: Covenant film which recently hit UK cinema screens. Wrapped in gold, the JCBs star
alongside Michael Fassbender and Katherine Waterson - the idea of British film director and producer Ridley Scott. JCB Worldwide Marketing
Director Michael Plummer said: “Ridley Scott’s idea to wrap the machines in gold delivered a stunning result and is certainly an eye-catching addition to a film which will be seen by millions around the world.”

Sustainable centre wins international accolade
Willmott Dixon has received further recognition for its sustainable work after the multi- million-pound Centre for Medicine at the University of Leicester scooped a prestigious international award at the S-Lab Awards 2017. The £42m building won against
stiff competition in the Sustainable Science Building category at the awards ceremony, which recognised excellence in laboratory design, management and operation, showcasing the very best scientific facilities from 11 countries in five continents.

number of environmental features, including a green wall made up of 75,000 individual plants, CTB blinds that track the sun, a ground- to-air heat exchange system and solar PV panels. James Elliment, Operations Manager at Willmott Dixon, said: “Winning the accolade of Sustainable Science Building at the S-Lab Awards is a fantastic achievement and testimony to the building’s environmental credentials. We are delighted the building’s unique sustainable design has been recognised on an international stage, especially one that focuses on scientific facilities.”

Blue Castle gets Waste Smart
Energy and environmental consultancy group Blue Castle has become the first to launch a Waste Smart- approved training facility in Nottingham. Based at The Blue Castle Group HQ in Long Bennington, Nottingham, the new training facility is one of 30 centres in the UK registered to deliver Waste Smart. The training programme is produced and written by the Chartered Institute of Waste Management (CIWM), the leading institution for the waste and resource industry.
The training will be delivered by Kristy Pink, Blue
Castle’s Compliance Manager and a CIWM-approved trainer. All successful delegates will receive a CIWM accredited certificate which is valid for five years. David Brighton, Blue Castle Commercial Director,
said: “Waste Smart is a one-day course designed for employees who have a responsibility for managing waste. It will provide them with the skills to develop waste management techniques, which will help to reduce their organisation’s waste costs.”
