Patron’s new head office is fit for purpose

Purpose Media has unveiled its new-look head office. The firm, which has more than doubled in size over

the past 18 months following the creation of new creative, video, digital marketing, and PR and content divisions, needed bigger premises to accommodate its growing workforce. It has acquired, knocked through and fitted out two additional units adjacent to its existing offices at The Village, off junction 28 of the M1, meaning it now owns four buildings on the estate, totalling 7,200sq ft of commercial workspace. The main aim of the expansion was to create a modern, flexible and collaborative office and studio environment which encourages teamworking, creativity and collaboration. It will enable the firm to attract and retain the best new talent, boost team

morale by keeping existing staff happy and motivated, and showcase itself in the correct manner to existing and potential clients. Managing Director Matt Wheatcroft said: “The past

18 months have seen significant changes at Purpose Media. Our employee headcount has gone from 15 to 38, we’ve increased our turnover by 60% and have totally transformed our business model, going from an ecommerce website developer to a full-service marketing agency. “We need premises which will enable us to attract

and retain the best talent, and showcase all the services we can offer to our clients. Our new workspace does just that. Our new offices give us the platform on which to deliver our core aim of helping our clients to create memorable experiences for their customers.”

events celebrates Sustainable Energy Week, with presentations, workshops, tours and activities spreading the word about energy efficiency, renewables and the latest ground-breaking research taking place in Nottingham and beyond. The European Commission

initiative, now in its 12th year, aims to promote clean energy. The team behind Energy Week is

also offering support to businesses innovating in energy-related projects or to those wishing to reduce energy consumption through ‘Energy for Business’. Support is funded by the European Regional Development Fund and can provide help with product innovation, business support and capital funding to SMEs in the D2N2 region. Gavin Walker, Professor of

Sustainable Energy at The University of Nottingham, said: “We are looking forward to welcoming people into the University during this exciting week of energy events.”

Pharmaceutical firm funds Inter Care IT system

Morningside Pharmaceuticals has funded a new online stock control system for Syston-based charity Inter Care. The system will help the charity track the recycled surplus quality medicines and healthcare goods it sends to rural health units in some of the poorest parts of Africa. The benefits of the new IT

system are significant. As the first electronic stock control system Inter Care has had since it was set

up in 1974, it will enable the charity to track the aid it sends to Africa from the point it enters its warehouse, right through to delivery to each health unit. The new system will also enable

Inter Care to maximise its own in- house recycling by replacing paper record keeping with digital records. Less paper work also means

more space to store donated medical aid and less time spent looking through files.

Dr Nik Kotecha (pictured),

Chief Executive Officer at Morningside Pharmaceuticals, said: “By supporting Inter Care with this new IT system, we are helping them to provide lifesaving medicines to deprived countries which need it the most, in line with National Quality Standards.” Diane Hardy, Inter Care’s

General Manager, added: “Thanks to Morningside,

Inter Care now has a highly professional and efficient stock control system. Morningside’s mission is to make quality healthcare an affordable and accessible reality throughout the world, which echoes that of Inter Care. This makes it the perfect partner for our charity.”
