Getting to know Worldwide Freight Forwarding experts, Orbis International Ltd…

Sean Henson is Managing Director of Orbis International Ltd., a Consultancy Based Freight Forwarder, Supply Chain and Project Management company based in Newark, Nottinghamshire.
Orbis International is fast becoming known as the trusted Freight Forwarding expert. Set up in 2016 by Sean Henson after 15 years of working in the industry, Orbis International is growing exponentially thanks to Sean’s dedicated, hands on approach.
“If you want cargo delivered effectively, efficiently and on time, Orbis International is the go-to company,” Sean explains. “I take pride in always being at the end of the phone for my clients. My transparency and their satisfaction is what drives me personally, and ultimately, the business.”

It’s evident that Sean values all his clients and in turn is trusted by them. He won't prioritise one client’s business over another. Watching him at work, it’s like viewing a cleverly choreographed juggling act. This is clear when Sean apologies as he takes a call during our interview:
“Sorry, I’ve got to take this, do you mind?” Of course, we don’t. That’s business; the wheels of commerce never stop turning. “Yep, it’s on its way” we hear Sean say. “That’s right, we’ve managed to get it onto the last evening flight. No, no problem at all. Pleasure. Speak tomorrow with an update.” And that’s it. Simple, straight forward and like his business, efficient. Sean has got the job done and is back in the room.
Speaking to Sean, it’s clear he’s a passionate, determined man who has his eye on the ball and has a completely different approach to Freight Forwarding: “I relish challenges. Where some people shy away from them, I embrace them. I certainly don’t want to sound arrogant but our success has come from complex projects or very time sensitive shipments that possibly our competition have passed over. I pride myself on honesty and experience. In my view clients like options and enjoy being part of the decision-making process. This helps us have a better understanding of what we’re trying to achieve and ultimately satisfying the end user.”
Orbis International’s client base ranges from start-ups to large corporations. As Sean says: “Some weeks I can be working with a local East Midlands business, keen to get their product out into foreign markets such as Africa and the USA and at the same time working with a large corporation touring the USA with a 2000 square foot exhibition. Both clients are as equally important.”
