Known as the nation’s "Oldest Seashore Resort,” the City of Cape May is home to over 600 Victorian-era structures currently in use, and the entire town has been declared a National Historic Landmark. It boasts historic homes, hotels, bed-and-breakfasts, as well as other accommodation properties that together comprise one of the largest existing collections of late 19th-century architecture in the country.

Cape May is popular among eco-tourists, for recreation- al activities and retreats, for its unique shopping and din- ing opportunities, local events, and of course, for its Victorian architecture.

One of the newest additions in this beachfront resort town is Cape May Convention Hall, a state-of-the-art facility situated directly on the beach. It offers 20,000- square feet and includes two event halls, a catering kitchen, a meeting room, a wraparound deck, and a multi-purpose atrium with views of the beach and ocean.

The Virginia Cottages is composed of five elegantly fur- nished cottages along Jackson Street, Cape May’s old- est street. These Queen Anne cottages are available for rental collectively or as separate apartments, and have classic guest rooms, full kitchens, multiple bathrooms and wood-burning fireplaces.
