This past September, the Casino Reinvestment Development Authority (CRDA) board approved an incentive package for Live Nation Entertainment, Inc. to book an increased number of signa- ture events at Boardwalk Hall, which can hold up to 14,500 people.
“We recognize that top entertainers and large events are key to bringing visitors to Atlantic City,” said CRDA board chairman, James Kehoe. “We want to drive visitation and provide economic impact by offering more of these visitor opportunities throughout the year.”
“Boardwalk Hall is a beautiful venue, and we want to make the best possible use of it,” said John Palmieri, executive director of the CRDA. “Atlantic City already is known as a great place for entertain- ment. We want to make it the best entertainment destination in the region.”
Former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton will address over 3,000 summer camp and out of school time professionals on the final day of the American Camp Association, New York and New Jersey’s Tri State CAMP Conference, which is taking place at the Atlantic City Convention Center from March 17–19, 2015.
The American Camp Association, New York and New Jersey’s Tri- State CAMP Conference is the largest conference for camp profes- sionals in the world, and offers professional development for over 3,000 camp professionals, camp staff, youth development profes- sionals, and “out of school” experiential educators. Attendees come to learn at over 180 educational sessions, find new services and products in the 300 booth exhibit hall, and spend time with like- minded professionals who are dedicated to making a difference in the lives of children.
On March 20-21, 2015, the Atlantic City Beer and Music Festival will take place at the Atlantic City Convention Center. In its 10th year, this event celebrates AC music, brews, breweries and the fine indi- viduals who consume beer. Attendees will see over 1,000 different beers from 150 breweries, the biggest music acts at the festival to date, interactive touch points such as beer and food pairings, a pop-up jam band space, a state-of-the-art March Madness viewing area, and culinary offerings from favorite AC food and beverage joints. The goal of the festival is to promote and educate attendees on craft beers and the brewers that create them.
The 2015 Atlantic City Beer and Music Festival also will feature culi- nary demonstrations from area chefs; beer seminars; and some "off the wall" activities. The festival offers a discounted “Designated Driver” ticket available at the door to encourage attendee responsi- bility. Special hotel rates are available to show attendees, as well. Attendees also are encouraged to utilize the many transportation options in the Atlantic City area, such as jitneys and cabs. No one under the age of 21 will be admitted into the show, and valid photo identification must be presented.

In September, internationally celebrated chef, restaura- teur and television personality, Gordon Ramsay, announced a partnership with Caesars Entertainment to open his first restaurant in Atlantic City at the iconic Caesars Atlantic City Resort and Casino. Located in the space currently occupied by Mia restaurant, Gordon Ramsay Pub and Grill will offer guests a lively and approachable English pub-style setting, offering the finest casual food utilizing the freshest ingredients.
The menu at Gordon Ramsay Pub & Grill at Caesars will be comprised of items consistent with British pub fare. Classic British favorites such as, bangers and mash, fish and chips and roasted chicken, as well as some of Ramsay’s favorites like London broil prepared on a wood-burning grill, will all be part of a rustic menu that will change seasonally. Paying homage to a true pub, the new restaurant will feature a wide selection of craft and microbrews from around the world, offering beer enthusi- asts more than 30 beers on tap. The 250-seat restaurant will include an impressive bar, a vintage-style lounge, a series of casual dining rooms and a private dining room.
