The Bloodhound Project is an international education initiative focused around a 1,000mph World Land Speed Record attempt. The jet and rocket powered Bloodhound Supersonic Car will streak down the 12-mile desert race track on the Hakskeen Pan, South Africa, in 2013 and 2014. To mark this event, Corgi has created a miniature version of the Bloodhound SSC in its currently livery. May this year will see the launch of Scalextric Fast & Furious sets. Released alongside


the Fast & Furious 6 Universal movie, Scalextric will release a full size Scalextric Fast & Furious set and a Micro Scalextric version, plus limited edition race cars. Scalextric has combined the thrill of the fi lm with slot car racing; sets include jumps, cross roads and chicanes.

A partnership with NC Engineering will also yield two new product offerings in the form of the Ferry and Field Slurry Tankers, due for release in July. Both products are fully compatible with each other. The John Deere 6R range includes the 6125R and 6150R models, which feature the new JD styling. The Vintage JCB 3C Mark III and three new Ford models will be introduced under the Heritage and Collectables banner. The Monster Treads John Deere RC Tractor is a new addition to the licensed portfolio, featuring articulated steering, self- correcting move and fl ip action, pneumatic tyres, plus the ability to perform stunts. Also announced is Tomy’s new Chuggington StackTrack die-cast range. Engineered for stability, the track system can be elevated. Playsets include Repair and Go Wilson Playset and Koko Safari Playset. Also available are a selection of accessories. Launching this Autumn is the TV-advertised playset ‘Rescue


at Rocky Ridge’, with new character HP Chug Patrol Jackman, and High-Performance character deco engines. The range is supported by a marketing campaign, including TVRs. Remote control Koko or Wilson are the new chunky Chuggington trains which can be used as a push-along or driven by remote control. Pokémon Pikachu RC fi gure is one of the new additions to


Tomy’s Master Toy licensed Pokémon collection, as well as a handheld Poké Ball infrared remote control.
