Plymouth Gin: Spirit of Discovery Master Class with Matt Green, from The Plymouth Refectory Bar. Discover the unique heritage of Plymouth Gin with a masterclass from leading British mixologist, Matt Green. Hand-crafted at England’s oldest working gin distillery since 1793, Plymouth gin is still made using the original recipe and is the first ever gin to be referenced within a Martini recipe. Natural Wines Master Class with Liam Steevenson MW Master of Wine Liam Steevenson hosts a tasting session showcasing some of his favourite ‘Natural Wines’. Liam will unravel the mystery behind the subject and explain through tasting why this new movement is gaining so much interest, and how these wines, perhaps more than any other, offer the true taste of ‘terroir’. Microbrewing and Tasting with Giles Hawkins and John Jones from Bridgetown Brewery Creators of our festival beer, Golden Decade, John and Giles of the Bridgetown Brewery will talk about the trials and tribulations of microbrewing as you taste a number of ales and stouts. This was last year’s most popular tasting, great fun as well as educational. Tickets £5.

Amazing mixologist Nick Strangeway will repeat his cocktail demo and tasting which was a highlight of last year’s festival. This year it will take place at Dartmouth Apprentice on Saturday 27th October, starting at 5:30. All welcome and no need to book, just come and join the fun’.

Chablis: Comparing the North to the South of the Region with Tim McLaughlin-Green Award-winning sommelier Tim McLaughlin-Green presents two very different styles of Chablis, the northernmost wine district of the Burgundy region in France. In the tasting Tim will also talk about the diversity of the soil in the region. Tickets £7.50.

English Wines from the Sharpham Vineyard with Steve MacKinlay Classic English wines are produced at Sharpham Vineyard as a result of a happy marriage of soil, climate and grape variety known as terroir.
