Eating at the Festival


There will of course be some great food to be had in the exhibitor marquees, Royal Avenue Gardens and all across the festival throughout the day but here are a few other ideas of where you might eat at the Festival this year. Many restaurants will be running special menus and other events but these are the ones who’ve published plans already.

Whilst the Children’s Festival is in full swing in the Gardens, the rest of us can enjoy tea, scones and cakes from the Dartmouth Caring Fundraising Marquee.


Drop into Avenue Gardens for lots of lovely things to taste from our exhibitors, local restaurants and many more. Open to young people who may bring a responsible adult.

We’re kicking off the main Festival events with a night that makes great British Puddings and Pies the star. The food will be overseen by Festival Head Chef Serin Aubrey, so great quality is guaranteed, and will feature a wide range of savoury and sweet dishes served in a street party atmosphere. The evening will include music, hilarity and great, great food so put together a party and book your table for a patriotic start to the festival. Tickets £25.
