“The Farm at the Laconia State
School” Moultonborough Library, intersections of Routes 25 and 109. 7pm. For the first in this year’s Community Landmark Series, Gordon DuBois will speak on the history of the Laconia Sate School farm, a self-sustaining agricultural enterprise in operation from 1901- 1971. The 485 acre working farm was crucial to the school’s operation, both for its production of food and for its role in providing residents the benefits of ‘hard labor’ in contributing to their keep.
