Visit USA hits the road again VISIT USA
talking shop roadshows
This month sees the Visit USA Association hit the road once again for its seventh series of UK roadshows, following the sell-out success of these events in previous years. More than 25 Visit USA Association members, ranging from airlines, destinations, attractions and hotel groups, are confi rmed to attend the roadshows which kick off at the Chelsea Football Club on November 25 in London. The Crowne Plaza, in Nottingham, is the second venue on November 26, followed by the Europa Hotel, in Belfast, on November 27. Due to the success of the previous roadshows, the number of travel agents that can attend each evening has been increased to 100 agents. Each venue is organised to offer a free-circulation table-top event with a sit down dinner, entertainment and networking, providing an excellent opportunity for front- line counter staff, tour operator reservations staff as well as many homeworkers to meet face-to- face with VUSA members. Each evening will follow a similar format: 5-6pm: Registration & drinks 6-7.30pm: Free fl owing exhibition 7.30–8pm: Video welcome from the US Ambassador & games 8–8.55pm: US themed buffet dinner 8.55–9.15pm: US music quiz 9.15pm: Entertainment presented by New Orleans & Louisiana 9.25-10pm: Prize-draws – win a trip of a lifetime to the USA, plus a range of runner-up prizes. "The Visit USA Roadshows seem to grow in size and reputation every year. We have carefully selected three cities – Nottingham, which is new to our schedule, while Belfast and London are back on our route after several years due to popular demand.
