THE DOMINICAN Republic Tourist Board, British Airways and AMResorts sponsored a fam trip to Hispanola this September for six agents. The group made over 15 site inspections of properties in Punta Cana, La Romana and Santo Domingo. Accommodation was hosted by Breathless Punta Cana, Secrets Royal Beach, Dreams La Romana, Hostal Nicolas de Ovando, in the colonial city of Santo Domingo and Barcelo Bávaro Palace Deluxe, located on one of the top five beaches in the world.

The itinerary included two nights in Bangkok, two nights at Layana Resort Koh Lanta and three nights at Vijitt Resort, Phuket, where activities included a cooking class. Agents on the fam represented Virgin Holidays, Bath Travel, Hayes and Jarvis, Tropical Sky, Trailfi nders and Audley Travel.

A BOURNE Leisure celebrated the success of its Sweet Summer Giveaway incentive, during which they gave away £1,000s of vouchers to agents who sent their customers to Butlins, Haven and Warner Leisure Hotels in July, August or September. B TIPTO had its Annual General Meeting last month at the Manchester Copthorne Hotel. The meeting marked the start of the new TIPTO year (its 16th!).
