Optically clear curing system

The Master Bond MasterSil 152 is a two component, condensation curing system that only requires air for complete cross-linking. It has been developed for potting and encapsulation applications where an addition cured silicone cannot be used.

mix ratio by weight and delivers a long working life of 6 – 8 hours after mixing. MasterSil 152 combines low viscosity and electrical insulation properties with the ability to cure in sections exceeding one inch in thickness, making it well suited for potting and encapsulation. Widely used in electronic and optical components, it is optically clear and can transmit light well from 220 microns to 2,500 microns and has an index of refraction of 1.45. te

Master Bond also points out that its MasterSil 152 is highly flexible, can withstand thermal cycling and shock, and is highly resistant to water. It is serviceable over the broad temperature range of -54°C to 204°C. This potting and encapsulation compound has a six month shelf life at room temperature in its original, unopened containers and is available in ½ pint, pint, quart, gallon and 5 gallon container kits.

fle

aster Bond says that unlike addition cured systems there are no substrates that will inhibit the MasterSil 152 cure. This system fully cures at room temperature in 24 – 48 hours and has low exotherm. MasterSil 152 also features low shrinkage upon curing and has a 1:10

New range of self-adhesive cable clips

GBK UK Ltd has launched new extruded white ribbon cable clips, available in three standard widths and with retention ribs, to increase hold capabilities.

G

BK says the clips – which are available in quantities from 100 pieces upwards – are produced from extruded PVC, and with double-sided adhesive. The clips

are available in 20mm, 25mm and 30mm widths. Each product has been specifically designed

for a particular type of application and GBK is able to offer advice to users that are unable to identify the exact style of cable management device required.

GBK UK Ltd points out that these parts are equivalent to Elematic part numbers AFC20, AFC25 and AFC30.
